Masonry drill bits designed for SDS plus and SDS max connections

While the quality of a drill is one thing, having good quality inserts is another. Using the preferred or best drill bit for concrete and similar materials will improve the performance when using it in masonry. It also means that your drill doesn’t have to work harder or for longer periods of time, which can ultimately prolong the lifespan of your tools and save on costs of frequent servicing and repair.

When using or purchasing any form of drill, a drill bit should be seen as a crucial extension of the drill itself. Or to use an analogy, you wouldn’t drink a 100-year-old whiskey from a plastic cup, so why use an inferior drill bit on a powerful product? That’s why we would always recommend the use of premium or high-quality drill bits for concrete applications where heavy-duty use is required – especially if you have a good quality drill.

While our masonry drill bits perform best when used with one of our products, they can make light work of drilling in masonry, reinforced concrete, brick, sand-lime block and more. We have a range of different lengths and diameter available across many of our concrete drill bits, so you can approach every job with confidence.

Chisels and rod drivers

Likewise, our range of products for breaking, cutting and chiselling can help get the job done efficiently when used with one of our own tools or any compatible product. These include our Hex, TE-S, SDS chisels bits, scrapers, jackhammer bits and earth rod drivers.

Are Hilti drill bits, rods and chisels suitable with other brands?

Yes, they are.

Providing the tool has the relevant connection end, e.g. SDS Plus, SDS Max, Hex etc., they can be used on products from other brands. But for the best experience and to get more out of your inserts, we highly recommend use with our own products.
