How we aim to create social impact
By Margaux from Hilti Sustainability Team
At Hilti, our purpose is to Make Construction Better. Specifically, one of our customer promises is to be a best partner for sustainability.
But what do we mean by sustainability? Sustainability at Hilti is based on 3 pillars: we care for
- The environment
- People
- Society
In order to generate social impact while contributing to our circularity ambitions, we decided to launch a tools donation programme earlier this year.
TOOLS DONATION
A programme with PURPOSE
By giving a second life to our tools and providing them to organisations that are driving change, we not only reinforce our commitment to circularity but also help create opportunities for education, skill development, and community upliftment.
One of the best examples is the Northumberland Skills school, where we're supporting technical education: We’re donating tools to trade schools and universities in the technical sector. These tools will empower students with hands-on experience and help nurture the next generation of skilled professionals.
Aiding local charities
Supporting WellChild
We’re also extending our programme to local charitable organisations that work with professional end users, just like WellChild. These tools will support their operations or projects, helping them achieve their mission of creating lasting social value.
“For over nine years, Hilti have supported WellChild and our aim of helping children with complex medical needs to thrive at home and out of hospital, through fundraising and their commitment to our Helping Hands programme. Their Tool donation scheme has been invaluable in enabling us to deliver quality outdoor spaces, safely and with the right equipment.
Alongside this, Hilti have also given over 900 volunteering days that have transformed 43 individual and community spaces, creating safe, accessible, and sensory gardens. These efforts have transformed the lives of over 120 children and their families, providing them with environments where they can thrive and feel safe." Join us in making a difference
We are happy to share we have already partnered with 10 educational institutions and associations across the country. These include Aldingbourne Trust, Church Farm, Emmaus, Northumberland Skills, Portland college Mansfield Nottingham, and WellChild.
We are excited to scale up our efforts in 2025!
